GreenGlass Consulting operates an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders business, providing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers to businesses in the Alice Springs region. GreenGlass participates in the Sentenced to a Job Program.

GreenGlass employs a pool of appropriately skilled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workers to meet the labour requirements of clients. Flexibility in the model enables employees to have time away from employment to attend to competing family or cultural commitments.

The company supports employees when they are released from prison. This includes finding accommodation, negotiating the repayment of any outstanding debts and providing transport to and from work. This aspect of the model is very management intensive and is not resourced. GreenGlass works to link employees with appropriate support services where possible.

GreenGlass has provided support to female participants in the Sentenced to a Job program to work at the IBIS hotel in Alice Springs for the past 18 months. One woman has been released and has continued in the role, while the second is preparing for release.

GreenGlass recently concluded a 12 Month negotiation process to enable a prisoner in the Sentenced to a Job program on a mine site.
